That's a Wrap!

I actually got some wrapping done today! What a relief... I put together these 3 wick candles on a plate and put cute ribbon and a decorative spray on the top. I bought the candles at TJ Maxx for $9.99 (a real bargain) and I have been buying cute inexpensive holiday plates through the season. They had green and red I bought a couple and wrapped them up for last minute hostess gifts (all ready to go)! Ho Ho Ho!

From the Moore Kitchen, to your kitchen...

We love to bake and one of our favorite cookies that you can do for any holiday is the "Monster Cookie" Blake loves to help with these so if you have children who love to help in the kitchen this is a great one to do with kids! Here's what you'll need: Ingredients: 6 eggs, 1lb brown sugar, 2 c. sugar, 4 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 lb. butter, 1.5 lbs. peanut butter, 1c. chocolate chips, 1c. M & M's (any festive color), 9c. oatmeal. Mix all ingredients well in really big bowl. Add oatmeal last. Drop by spoonful and flatten. Bake 10 min at 350 degrees. This makes a ton of cookies feel free to divide in half. May Freeze if you wish. Enjoy!

Cherries in the Snow Table Setting

Think out side of the box this year when planning your holiday tables. Just because it is Christmas doesn't mean you cannot be creative in using your everyday things you love. I collect cherries and this year I decided to do a Cherries in the Snow theme with many of my most favorite cherry pieces. So get creative and get moving Christmas is only a few weeks away! Have a Merry Christmas!!!!

"Thank God for the Crisp Fall Morning."

It is an early morning for me... I am just relaxing this morning with my coffee and my computer curled up in my living room. My husband Doug took my son Blake (2yr old) to work with him this morning for awhile. I can't remember the last time I had a morning like this one to just sit and relax. "Thank God for this crisp Fall Morning. " Mom and I picked up these chic apple green velvet chairs in Harbor Springs a few weeks ago. They are going into a guest house that I am working on in Mt. Pleasant. They are going to be perfect, nice find mom!

Yummy Fall Felling!

A yummy fall feeling precisely... If this room does not scream come and enjoy me with a pot of coffee, I don't know what does. This was one of my latest projects and I love the way it turned out. This room is homey! For an all seasons room just added on a few years ago to this clients you could never tell. It blends so nicely with the owners home and is a great addition to this beautiful property. Stay tuned for more pictures to come. Happy Fall Everyone and thanks for stopping by!!

A Romantic Retreat

This relaxing master getaway was done in warm browns, beige's and soft tones of gold and blue. This space is both elegant and romantic the lighting was carefully done to set any mood. The gold and crystal chandelier and silk fabrics definitely set the tone for this romantic retreat.

Come Rest Awhile!

One of the main goals in this cottage was to be comfortable and that means when there are lots of bodies we need lots of places to sleep. So whether it be upstairs in this sophisticated red and white toile bedroom or downstairs on the sun-porch, there is always a cozy nook just right for napping.

I've Missed you! But here is that quaint cottage I promised!

This custom kitchen with family and entertaining in mind. These cottage white cabinets are accented with red bead-board interior beautiful red porcelain flower knobs and to top it all off with crisp black granite countertops. The family room is open to the kitchen and dining rooms. This room is very comfortable for the whole family.

This all season room is both beautiful and kid friendly. This dining room turned out very cozy with the Cool Green on the wall and Red accents... Yumm!
This Living area is seen by both the Front and Back Entrances. The bronzed beige wall color is warmed up a bit with rich Black and Cherry distressed furnishings. You can entertain in this lovely space that sits near to the kitchen and bar, or have a more quiet evening with a great board game and your family.

Don't forget to "Smell the Daisy's"

Blake this morning, stopping to admire our beautiful flower gardens. Everything is blooming nicely here at The Roost. It rained a bit last night and everything is lively because of it. Thank God for Flower's!

Quaint is the only way to describe this Michigan lake side cottage. It is nestled in an adorable English garden setting with 100' of waterfront gracing the back of the property. Weather it's to curl up with a good book and a cup blueberry tea, which happens to be the owner's favorite, or slip into your bikini and whip up a batch of fresh margaritas, this charming English cottage is the perfect place to share with family and friends. I have loved so much working with this family and I hold this particular project very close to my heart. I will post more as we go, but I just wanted you all to get a sweet little taste for cottage living at it's finest.
Here is a sneak preview of the cute little cottage that I have been working on.
